Google chose October 31st, Halloween, to
take the wraps off its new Nexus 5 Smartphone and android 4.4 KitKat, the
latest version of its mobile operating system.
The new device Nexus 5, a 5-inch Smartphone, goes on sale
Thursday for $349 without a contract in its 16GB incarnation and $399 for the
32GB Version.
Both are available in black and white. The device is come
with 8 megapixel rear camera with optical image. Powered by Qualcomm’s
snapdragon 800 clockd at 2.3GHz.
The Nexus 5 has 2GB RAM and is packed with a 2300nAH
battery.
Google’s Android engineering director, Dave Burke said; its
slim, lightweight device, a third of an inch thick, weighing 4.59 oz. The greatest
innovation on the Nexus 5 is its camera lens, which moves within the phone to compensate
for your movement.

Burke said you don’t have to worry about shaky hands; a new
HDR+mode select and stitch together the best possible shot from a burst of
pictures.
Nexus 5 is available today, unlocked and without a contract,
on Google play in the U.S. U.K. Australia, Germany, and France, Spain, Italy,
Japan and Korea, Canada (and coming soon in India)
Just in the time for the holidays, Nexus 5 will be available
soon at the following retailers: sprint, T-Mobile. Best Buy, Amazon and
RadioShack.
