Google has quietly rolled out a new design for Gmail’s main
log in page on the Web.
A Google spokesperson responded with the following
statement:
“In response to feedback from our users, we’ve simplified
the sign in process and the screen has slowly been rolling out over the past
few month”
Featuring streamlined conversation threads, new high
resolution themes and more fleshed out search bar, users will be able to try
out the latest edition of Gmail within, “the next few days” by pushing a button
in the bottom right of Gmail, whenever the Google gods deem the new interface
ready.
Google contently looks to improve its various services through
software updates and design tweaks, and the latest revamp may be coming to your
Gmail account.
The last significant change to the Web-based in page was
back In May, when it started promoting its mobile apps, here’s what it looked
like:
The new layout will make it much easier to re-size both the labels
and Chat sections of Gmail: it will also add arrow key control functionality to
Gmail, making it possible to use your keyboard to navigate around Gmail.
