Google has Released the XE10 update.
Google announced the latest monthly update to its Glass
project, adding new features currently only available to a lucky few gadget
owners. The new addition includes public transits directions, tap to select
links in notifications, and profile pictures.
On Monday the company released an updates to the wearable
computer that will allow Glass wears to view public transit directions on the
device in real-time.
The direction will includes such as where to transfer to
another bus or train, as well as time estimates to how long it will take to
reach your destination, on much the same way as the directions feature works on
Google Maps.
If you have ever been halfway through a message, and
wondered if you are taking to the right person, Google has you covered. The Google
Glass user will now see profile pics behind the message they are speaking, you
shall never have to wonder.
Glass user who fined links in tweets or message will now be
able to visit them from Glass as well.
The company hints that more features are also includes in
this update, but the release note only mention that when sending message or
making comments, you shall now see the profile pictures of those you are
conversing with in the background.
Rumor has it that XE10 is supposed to open the door to
native Glassware apps from all developers.
So unless you are Glass owner living in public transit-centric
cities like New York in San Francisco, where even celebrities can be found
riding the train, it’s unlikely this feature will get a lot of use.
