After a series of leaks, LG has announced official details
of its curved-screen Smartphone, the G Flex. The phone, which uses flexible
OLED screen technology to allow for a dramatic curve on the horizontal axis.
The G Flex has been confirmed officially in an
English-language press release, reiterating the same details that the Korean
press statement revealed.
The new device come with 7.9 and 8.7mm thick at
various points, weighs 177g and has
a 6-inch 720p display.
There is a 2.26GHz
quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM
13 Megapixel
camera and a 3,500mAH battery. The new G Flex comes with power and volume
buttons on the back, and runs Android Jellybeans version 4.2.2.
Before some days on this month Samsung unveiled its first Smartphone
with a curved screen, the Galaxy Round Compared with the Galaxy Round, the G
Flex is curved in a different way,
The G Flex screen is curved from top to bottom instead of
side to side.
The new G Flex will be rolling out in South Korea next
month, and LG says availability in additional markets will be announced later.
