Most famous and biggest Google’s video-sharing arm YouTube
is preparing to launch a subscription music service to allow consumers to watch
videos and listen to music ad-free, industry sources said Friday.
The new plan would still allow user’s free access for the
vast amount of music and music videos available on YouTube but would allow an
option for a paid service without ads, with some extras such as the ability to
store and listen to songs offline.
Billboard first reported that the music service would be modeled
on Google’s all access subscription service which is also ten-dollars per
month.
Billboard also says a premium service could be paired with
other Google products in the future, including Google Glass.
