writing. Katy Perry has taken the lead.
Both stars are still adding new followers every minute, but
Perry seems to be rising faster. Perry’s presently maintaining 2,000 more
followers than Bieber.
Perry’s number of followers also surged past Lady Gaga, the
former number one earlier this year.
The success of Perry’s most recent single, “Roar, from her
album Prism, released last month, may have contributed to putting her at the
top of Twitter’s elite.
Lady Gaga is currently holding onto third place on Twitter. She
have 40 million roughly followers.
American President Barack Obama is also lurking just behind
her, with one million fewer fans.
In an interview with USA Today, she said that’s part of her
strategy,
“I feel like l’ve learned how to tame that social media dragon”
Perry has 58 million Facebook fans and 45 million Twitter
followers.
